Expat Heather’s Guide to Morocco Travel

During my year studying abroad at Al Akhawayn University in Morocco, I considered traveling around the country to be an integral part of my education. Here is a collection of the articles I’ve written about travel in Morocco. The majority are featured in Journey Beyond Travel‘s Morocco Travel Guide, but some are also hosted on sites such as Matador Abroad, Trails.com, and USA Today’s Travel Tips.

Guide Books

While traveling in Morocco, I used a combination of guidebooks and tips from locals to plan my travel. Here are recent editions of some of the most popular Morocco guidebooks. If you normally use guidebooks only for pre-planning or prefer to print out individual chapters, consider buying the PDF download version of the 2011 Lonely Morocco from Guide Gecko instead of an actual book.
