Arianne at 4 Months
Arianne had a very busy fourth month! Here are some of her firsts:
At 4 months old, she is wearing 6-month clothes. They are a bit loose, but she’s quite long so the 3-month clothes don’t fit anymore. She LOVES her pacifier, and I always had 2 or 3 backups when we were traveling. She did okay with the time zone change; it took her about 3 or 4 days to adjust. As usual, it took me longer than the kids to fully adjust to the time difference between Ho Chi Minh City and Eastern Standard Time.
She has tried oatmeal cereal, peas, carrots, apple sauce, and sweet potatoes. She just eats little bits of solid food though, and she still mostly breastfeeds.
4 months is a great travel age, because she has been very happy to stay in the baby carrier or sleep a lot of the time. The flights were relatively easy, compared to the toddler years when we did Gabriel’s first flights. I am already dreading next summer’s flights back and forth, however this year was okay.
At 6 months, she has discovered her feet and likes to play with them. She has also started to grasp toys and teethers. She loves to watch Gabriel play, but she isn’t really sure how to interact with him yet. She does like to smile and babble for anyone that will listen.
